Pakistan on Monday expressed serious concern over reports of Indian government’s purported plans to trigger new “administrative and demographic changes” in Indian-occupied Kashmir. Commenting on reports of possible "further division, bifurcation and demographic changes" in occupied Kashmir, Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said "no new instrument of occupation shall have any legal effect." The statement comes after a meeting between occupied Kashmir's Lieutenant-Governor Manoj Sinha and Indian Home Minister Amit Shah and other officials in New Delhi today. Rumours are making rounds about possible new administrative and political changes in occupied Kashmir as reportedly discussed during the meeting, The Economic Times reported. BAGHDAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Iraq’s Minister for Interior Othman Ali Farhood Moshir Al Ghanimi on Sunday agreed on the need for exchanging delegations with a view to enhancing cooperation in security matters, countering narcotics smuggling and visa facilitation. During a meeting, Mr Qureshi highlighted the professional expertise and commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies in effectively dealing with the challenge of terrorism. He said the two countries could benefit from cooperation in countering terrorism, particularly sharing of expertise and intelligence and training and capacity building of their law enforcement agencies. The Iraqi interior minister welcomed the suggestion, a press release said. Foreign Minister Qureshi underscored strong religious and cultural affinities between the people of the two countries and said that these bonds also provided significant opportunities for deeper bilateral cooperation in diverse areas...
